I like my pottery to be gentle, firm but also simple at the same time. A little bit of „hygge“, a little bit of simplicity and also functionality is very important.
Ich mag es am liebsten, wenn meine Keramik fein, praktisch, aber gleichzeitig auch einfach ist. Ein bisschen „hygge" eben. Außerdem sind mir Schlichtheit und Funktionalität sehr wichtig.
The clay that I chose is probably because it is very popular right now. And I also like it. I like the spots on the mugs and bowls. I think what I wanted was something „hygge-like“. Not because everybody is doing this right now but just because I always like my pottery to be gentle, firm but also simple at the same time.
A little bit of „hygge“, a little bit of simplicity and that’s maybe the first idea of how I wanted it to look like.
Beim Entwerfen der Daydream Collection war es eigentlich das erste Mal, dass ich vorher skizziert habe. Das hat mir geholfen, das Endprodukt besser zu visualisieren. Außerdem war es hilfreich, die Kollektion einheitlicher gestalten zu können.
Der Ton, für den ich mich entschieden habe, ist im Moment sehr beliebt. Und er gefällt mir auch besonders gut. Ich mag die kleinen Punkte auf den Tassen und Schüsseln. Ich wollte etwas „hygge-ähnliches" kreieren. Nicht, weil das gerade in ist, sondern einfach, weil ich meine Töpferwaren immer zart, praktisch, aber gleichzeitig auch simpel haben möchte. Ein bisschen „hygge“ gepaart mit ein bisschen Minimalismus eben. Das war die Idee dahinter.
For the Daydream collection it actually was the first time I sketched before I produced it. And I think that it helped me visualizing the end product. Maybe it is a little bit easier. So I think it helped to make the collection to be more unified for me.
